The Analytical Challenge

On Wednesday December 2, the KNCV, C2W and the Sectie Analytische Chemie (SAC) is organising the first edition of The Analytical Challenge: the meeting place for professionals in the field of laboratory analysis within chemistry and life sciences.  

 

National and international speakers

With a wide range of top-quality national and international speakers and 5 parallel sessions, more than 1000 (analytical) chemists and life scientists will be brought up to date with the latest scientific developments and insights in this field. In this way, the organisation hopes to stimulate cross-pollination and to interest a wide public in the varied field of analytical chemistry. Workgroups of the SAC

The following workgroups of the SAC have contributed to The Analytical Challenge 2009:       

• separation methods (chromatography)
• sample preparation
• knowledge platform for lab managers 
• irdg (infra red discussion group)
• atomic spectrometry
• dsp (discussion group for separation methods for polymers)                       

                  

Trade fair

The SAC work groups, universities of applied sciences/universities, research centres and laboratory suppliers will present their innovations and breakthroughs via presentations and workshops. Linked to the congress, The Analytical Challenge will be organising a High Tech Exhibition featuring the latest innovations in the lab world. Companies that wish to present their innovations and products to a high-quality audience of lab professionals are more than welcome. It goes without saying that the fair is a perfect opportunity to fill your open job vacancies.

 

Visitors of The Analytical Challenge

Visitors of The Analytical Challenge come with the aim of exchanging experiences with their colleagues in the field in an informal way. The 1000 visitors expected to visit the fair consist of: 

• (analytical) chemists and biotechnologists and other molecular scientists
• suppliers of analysis- and laboratory equipment
• lab managers
• bioprocess technologists and process technologists

teachers, trainee research assistants, junior researchers and students in higher chemical and life sciences education

• other members of the KNCV (Netherlands) and KVCV (Flanders)

 

The Analytical Challenge offers the participating companies a professional environment in which the organisation can present itself and where the target group can be contacted directly.

NB: On the same day and at the same time, in parallel with The Analytical Challenge, the KNCV and C2W will organise the fourth edition of The Element, with the theme this year being Catalysis. The Element takes place on  December 2 in the Beatrixgebouw of the Jaarbeurs. Visitors will have access to both events
